You’re in a rut and you’re wondering why nothing is moving forward?
Sometimes it’s because there is a lack of motivation and energy. Other times, the steps to move forward aren’t always clear.
I (like many others) suffer from “social media syndrome” where we forget the lives displayed on the internet are curated optimal moments in people’s lives. I always fall into the pit of “Why can’t I have a life like that? When in reality, to ask that question and put that expectation on myself is unrealistic.
I had an epiphany this past weekend. It isn’t some type of new revelation, but something clicked for me. Instead of asking “Why isn’t my life like that?”....if there is something I want to do, I should be asking “What can I do to get there?” if that is genuinely something I want to achieve.
This isn’t about hustling, but instead recognizing things only happen if you do them. Dreaming and scheming to ones self is one thing. Planning and creating logistics around it so there are actionable steps is another.
Creating actionable steps is what I am work on improving. Even if the steps aren’t always taken, there’s something to show for, and potentially to return to if the timing is right.
